This Privacy Policy explains what information UnseenTexts ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, and how that information is used. We've tried to keep this policy as plain and accurate as the tools themselves — it only describes what we actually do.
Information we collect
UnseenTexts does not require you to create an account to use the free tools. We collect the following:
- Text you submit. When you paste text into a tool, it is sent to our server and, if an AI provider is configured, forwarded to that provider to generate a result. Submitted text is used only to generate your result and to record basic, anonymous usage statistics (such as text length and which tool was used) — we do not read, review, or use your submitted text for any other purpose.
- A random device identifier. We set a cookie containing a randomly generated identifier so we can apply the daily free usage limit. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information unless you separately contact us.
- Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject, and message you provide so we can respond to you.
- Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our server may log standard technical information (such as IP address and request timing) for security and rate-limiting purposes.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function: a device identifier for usage limits, and a session cookie for the admin panel. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies unless advertising is enabled (see "Advertising" below).
Analytics
If Google Analytics is enabled by the site operator, it may collect standard analytics information such as pages visited and general location (derived from IP address). Analytics, where enabled, is used only to understand overall site usage and is not used to identify individual users.
Third-party services
Text you submit to a tool may be sent to a third-party AI provider (configured by the site operator) solely to generate your result. We do not control how that provider processes data beyond the request itself, and recommend avoiding submitting sensitive personal information into any text tool.
AI processing
Text submitted to a tool is processed by an AI model to generate the requested output (an explanation, summary, notes, etc.). This processing happens at the time of your request and is not used to train our own models.
Advertising
UnseenTexts is built to support Google AdSense in the future. Advertising is currently disabled on this site. If and when advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated, and Google AdSense may use cookies to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.
Data retention
Contact form submissions and anonymous usage statistics are retained for as long as needed to operate and improve the site. You can request deletion of any contact message you've sent us at any time (see Contact Us below).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you (such as a contact form submission). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
UnseenTexts is intended for school, college, and university students. We do not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described above, and do not require account creation to use the free tools.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
